Citrus and summer go hand-in-hand. I mean, citrus fruits look AND taste like sunshine, am I right? Oranges in particular are one of my favorite citrus fruits because they’re so versatile. They add acidity and brightness to baked goods, savory dishes, and drinks – and I have a delicious summer drink for you! Imagine a frozen, creamy, sweet, glass of orange goodness. That’s what this Orange Julius offers, and it is so easy you can whip one up in minutes!
When the summer sun is hot, a cold drink is the best thing to have…especially when it’s as fun and indulgent as this one. It’s definitely not a smoothie, so forget any bad smoothie experiences you’ve had. Yes, I’ve been burned by smoothies in the past. You know the ones with so much ice that their flavor is watered down and they’re so thick they’re pretty much a block of ice with no hopes of making it through a straw? Well, this Orange Julius has the perfect amount of ice to avoid those issues. It is creamy and smooth with intense flavor!
Best of all, you probably have all of the ingredients on-hand and it whips up in minutes. No prep work and almost no dirty dishes sounds like a good summer afternoon to me. Make this drink for parties (I’m sure it will ‘wow’ your guests) or even for a lazy afternoon. Seriously, reading in the sunshine with yummy treats is what summer afternoons are made for! Enjoy!
